SINGLE OF THE WEEK - DMA'S 'LEARNING ALIVE'
Australian band DMA'S have released a new song from their forthcoming album 'The Glow' in 'Learning Alive' and it is tremendous.
With the familiar DMA'S sound, singer Tommy O'Dell is on top form as he sings "and I just want to hold it forever". It's moving and quite simply a masterpiece that well deserves the Our Sound Single Of The Week.
Other releases this week and fellow Aussie Amy Shark has new music after a two year absence that included a trip to LA to write with Ed Sheeran. Everybody Rise is familiar Shark territory with heartfelt lyrics and a contemporary urban beat. She is somewhat under the radar here in the UK but sure to blow up before the year ends..Doves have returned after an eleven year hiatus with new single Carousels. The Cheshire lads make it almost worth the wait with a decent enough tune...The quirky named Tropical Boyfriend Catalogue released 'Holding On' last week. A pleasant summer pop song that demonstrates why the band have received attention from Radio X and BBC 6 Music..change of tone now and Birmingham based SC Undercover delivers a UK Garage pop anthem with 'Morals', a relaxing soulful track worth checking out..
