If you have a penchant for 90's inspired alt-rock then 'Hard Truth', the latest release from Patient Lounge certainly fits the bill. Taken from the band's upcoming debut EP, the sound has strong Alice In Chains vibes yet remains distinctly fresh thanks to the notable production value of the single.
Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Patient Lounge formed in 2019. They have gone from strength to strength despite the prevailing global pandemic and have managed to perform with icons Wolfmother and at the Dead Of Winter Festival.
'Hard Truth' follows up the acclaimed previous single release 'Treehouse', which also drew plaudits in its own right.
Fronted by vocalist Zach Eather, Patient Lounge are clearly driven and focused: “We have too many friends who have given up on their dreams early and work jobs they fucking hate. This song is telling our inner child not to give up and not to follow in the footsteps of our mates that are miserable five days a week” he said.
Who are we to argue with that drive. 'Hard Truth' features a huge sound. If you like your drums heavy hitting and guitars massive in scope then you won't be disappointed. Patient Lounge's 90's alt-rock inspired sound will be comforting to fans of the genre yet offers something definitely contemporary.
