The Slow Readers Club have today shared their new single ‘Modernise’. It’s the second track to be lifted from the Manchester band’s new album ‘Knowledge Freedom Power’, which is released on February the 24th. The band's previous LP, ‘The Joy Of The Return’, made the Top Ten when it was released in 2020. The Slow Readers Club are a true example of being self-made and their work ethic is nothing short of inspirational.
The newly released single, 'Modernise' is the new album's opener and sets the tone for the rest of the opus. The band said: “‘Modernise’ is about the constant need to learn and adapt to changing, it’s a bit of a techno fear song.” ‘Modernise’ was written by the band with production from Joe Cross (The Courteeners, Louis Tomlinson).
‘Knowledge Freedom Power’ , the new album's title track was premiered by Chris Hawkins at 6 Music and it received news coverage from Louder Than Warand Atwood, who described it as, “an exhilarating, energizing anthem that seeks to spread a little more light and love in the world.”
‘Knowledge Freedom Power’ is now available to pre-order HERE. It will be released on blue vinyl, CD and cassette, as well as digital and streaming formats.
