This past Friday ,Cumbria-based solo artist Jonny Swift released his new single ‘Hollywood’. Taken from his latest album ‘Kalimera’ which was released at the start of the year, ‘Hollywood’ is accompanied by a previously unreleased track – ‘Wildflower’.
With exposure from BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and more recently BBC Radio London, It's clear to see why these admirers have joined the party. From its upbeat tempo which kicks up from the very start, to its rhythmic and positive acoustic strums, ‘Hollywood’ is an excellently crafted piece of indie-pop.
The tune, which was produced and mastered by Matt Kassell at the Digital Man Recording Studio in Barrow-in-Furness, seems more akin for a summer release than here in February. It’s a track you can imagine road tripping to in the hazy sunshine and clocking in at just two minutes, it leaves the listener wanting more.
The accompanying ‘Wildflower’ is a previously unreleased treat. This B-side features jangly guitars and a real dream pop vibe – showcasing a certain diversity in his music and song writing.
