London-based alt-rock trio, Faded Shades, recently released their springy new single, ‘My Place (Or Your Place)’, a song about falling for a girl you shouldn't have - but not regretting it at all.

Paying slight homage to the hypnotic sound of New Wave, ‘My Place (Or Your Place)’ encompasses the jangly, pop-oriented beat with filtered riffs, smooth vocals, and a guarantee to make you feel good.

Hailing from Kent, Faded Shades are Joe (guitar and vocals), Charlie (drums), and Liam (Bass). Influenced by MOD culture from Small Faces to Paul Weller and Oasis, the spectrum of British Invasion in all of its states of reinvention is the bedrock of their sound - and you can certainly hear it in the new single.

Since emerging on the scene in 2018, the trio have been releasing tracks with a penchant for loud, jangling, rock n roll fused with alluring harmonies that everyone can relate to. From hangovers to heartaches, the band have seen and sung about it all with an upbeat energy that isn’t hard to get hooked on. Their fierce following that packs out venues across London is testament to that.

‘My Place (Or Your Place)’ is a solid release that showcases Faded Shades' talent for crafting pop gems that are both catchy and nostalgic. The song is not just about having fun, it also touches on the complexity of modern relationships and the blurred lines between casual and serious connections. Building a charming mosaic of melodic rock, pop and clean-cut riffs, it’ll be sure to get your foot tapping.
