Beabadoobee and Clairo have recently joined forces to release Glue Song, exciting fans who have been suspecting a collaboration since the pair toured the US together in 2019. Previously released as a dreamy Valentine's Day single, Clairo adds a fresh verse to the track which adds a new layer of depth to a simple, but charming, love song.
'Glue Song' is refreshing, feeling giddy and almost child-like whilst remaining able to strike a deep chord with the listener. The bright guitars are complemented by the soothing voices of Beabadoobee and Clairo, who deliver a beautiful performance of emotive lyrics; “loving you once only feels wrong, I need years”.
“Claire’s been a good friend since she brought me on her tour around the release of her first album,” says Bea. “She tried a part on a verse for Glue Song and it sounds so sweet. I’ve always been inspired by her melodies and to finally have both our voices together on a track makes me real happy. This song’s special to me, it’s a heartfelt love song and I think we related to the honesty in that.”
Keeping busy, Beabadoobee is currently supporting Taylor Swift on the hugely successful Eras tour, having just finished a sold-out acoustic tour of Europe. Bea is then set for another sold out headline tour in the EU and the US.
Having released her critically acclaimed album Beatopia last year which debuted in the Top 5 of the UK album chart, Beabadoobea has received a lot of well-deserved praise, with Loud & Quiet labelling her “the voice of a generation”.
