For a band who have been together for less than a year, Televised Mind have so far proven that a strong work ethic and great songs can go a long way in a short amount of time. The Lincoln-based band only formed in early 2023 and since then have been featured on BBC 6 Music, Sirius XM and Absolute Radio. Now, the band have released their great new track, 'Masks'.

'Masks' is the second single to be released from Televised Mind's forthcoming EP. The first release from the EP, 'You Don't Know Me' laid the framework and now 'Masks' adds colour to what should be a fine collection of songs, due for release next year. Recorded and produced by Tayte Nickols at Mad Fox Manchester, this new single is the band's finest release to date.

Immediately the listener is introduced to a retro post-punk sounding intro before the earworm vocal of frontman Ste Walker narrates a tale of perception and how we envisage both reality and fantasy. The chorus sees the band unleash an earth-moving assault on the ears that give way to the addictive second verse. 'Masks' is an engrossing and addictive listen.

'Masks' has received support from BBC introducing

Influenced by Idles and Sleaford Mods, Televised Mind are carving their own niche with their blend of post-punk and indie-rock. About the track, the band said: "'Masks' is about identity and portrayal. Perception, reality and illusion. It explores the ways in which we present the best image of
ourselves." About the EP, the band said: "(the EP) comprises anthems for the underdogs, the unassuming and those who wish to break free of the shackles of modern society."

Televised Minds have created the blueprint that all new bands should follow - write catchy, in your face tunes and graft for every opportunity.
