The Nashville-based country starlet, Caitlin Mae, released her new single 'House Sitting' two weeks ago. This mew track follows 2024's 'Mr Moving On' and aims to cement the talented artist within the modern country music scene.
What stands out immediately is the astonishingly vocal - the lyrics are delivered with a captivating tone that delivers a certain authenticity. Lyrically, 'House Sitting' is emotional and the rich vocal compliments the words triumphantly. The song has a theme of falling out of love which no doubt will be relatable to many listeners. The line "The walls are bare in places we used to be. Picture frames shattered are better than empty" really is incredible for example.
About her latest release, Caitlin herself says: "I wrote this song about loss, and feeling like a guest, or a house sitter,
in your own home; A feeling I’m sure many of us can relate to. Romantic, or not, we’ve all
spent time nurturing relationships that self-destruct, or deteriorate in the end. Sometimes we
begin to see the signs, and try to stop it, other times it hits us like a freight train, and to me,
being blindsided by such a revelation is somehow worse."

Caitlin Mae clearly has a drive and strong passion when it comes to her music. She has amassed an incredible social media following and she has also been a member of the CMA since 2023. Perhaps a career highlight to date. Caitlin has shared the stage with Carrie Underwood.
About this new track. she also says: “House Sitting is an honest take on the collapse of a relationship you were sure would stand the test of time. Often, when it doesn’t, one, if not both parties, are left devastated. I can relate to the feeling of wishing I had a time machine to go back, and fix things, so if that’s you, I see you, and I raise you this song.”
With a plan to release new music every two months throughout 2025, Caitlin Mae is embracing the year with extreme vigour and we can't wait to hear what is to come.
