We have been a fan of Edie Yvonne for what seems like years. The prolific performer is still in the element of youth; age only sixteen, she has a wealth of fantastic pop songs in her repertoire and now she adds her latest release "Changed My Mind,"

Released earlier this month the song, marks a vibrant evolution for the Los Angeles-based indie-pop artist. This single shifts away from the introspective melancholy of her earlier "sad girl" trilogy, embracing a brighter, more empowered tone that radiates hope and self-assurance. With its infectious energy and polished production, the track solidifies Yvonne’s place as a rising star in scene.

The song bursts open with cascading guitars and thunderous drums, establishing an urgent, cinematic vibe that hooks listeners instantly. Yvonne’s vocals are a standout, blending softness with commanding strength. Her delivery is fluid yet deliberate, with a vibrant lift that feels both fresh and authentic. The dynamic percussion and artfully placed drum fills amplify the track’s emotional crescendos, driving it toward a cathartic breakthrough that feels hard-earned and exhilarating.

Lyrically, "Changed My Mind" is a poignant exploration of heartbreak and personal growth. Lines like “the tears only know you / been crying over a year” cut deep, capturing the raw weight of lingering pain, while “you think you can keep me / but time has passed and you don’t see” signals a bold reclaiming of agency. These lyrics, paired with Yvonne’s expressive cadence, create a push-and-pull tension that keeps listeners engaged. The song’s narrative of moving beyond emotional turmoil into self-empowerment is both intimate and universally relatable.

The production, handled by Nicky Swedin and Cormac Liotta, is tight and purposeful with subtle dream-pop influences brought to the fore. The arrangement balances breezy, radiant melodies with poignant lyricism, resulting in a track that feels weightless yet also impactful. At just over three minutes, the song is concise but leaves a lasting impression just as any great pop song should.

"Changed My Mind" is a triumphant showcase of Yvonne’s vocal prowess, lyrical brilliance, and growing artistry, proving she’s not just a fleeting talent but a force to watch, something that we have been at the forefront of projecting.
