This Friday York lads Skylights release their second physical single. Darkness Falls on label 42s Records. The Manchester label also boasts a stable of other exciting bands including Reclaim Vienna and Shader, and this latest release from Skylights will be available on vinyl and four track CD.
Previous release Enemies made it to number two on the UK physical single chart and the band have recently appeared on Soccer AM. This cinematic track was produced during lockdown, vocalist and lyricist Rob Scarisbrick: “ think the song captures the fear and emotion felt by many around the lockdown. It brought the best and worst out in people.”
Next year the band are set to perform live across the country taking in places such as Leeds (the band are huge Leeds United fans), Aberdeen, Glasgow and London.
We here at Our Sound have had a sneak preview of Darkness Falls it certainly shows a more emotional side to the band with sweeping acoustic guitar and an orchestral sound that cements Skylights new release as a bona fide anthem.
