From the opening bass riff and thumping drums, 'Tell Me Tina', the latest release from The Juice, catches our attention immediately. The vocals are a revelation; fast paced, tuneful and with a mature tone - a sound of urgency, the sound of a band getting things off their chest.
This is the bands first release with five members - originally The Juice were made up of brothers Jack and Joe who were the force behind previous releases 'At Times' and 'Rip It Up'. With new members recruited - Louis (Lead Guitar), Ross (Bass) and another Joe (Drums) their sound has evolved. Not to mention the band are now a force to be reckoned with when playing live - previous performances include slots with Sugarstone, Callow Youth and Chris Helme.
With support from BBC Introducing Lancashire, the Manchester based band are the next big things on the horizon - 'Tell Me Tina' is an indication of this. The melodic lead guitar and honest lyrics are a revelation - as is the chorus that will stick in your head for days. Highly recommended.
