Gabriel Richards is set to release his second single 'Gave Up Light' this Thursday, the 22nd of April. The multi-instrumentalist is an alternative singer-songwriter from Stoke-On-Trent.
His debut single 'Don't You Go' was released in early March to acclaim from various members of the music media and Richards' next release has already been described as “It all sounds gorgeous and intricate, lots of different pieces slotting together like clockwork" by Indie Midlands.
Gabriel Richards is a true artist; not just musically where he produces dream like dynamics to great effect but literally - he designs his own eye-catching artwork and sells the designs as prints.
Of the new single, the artist says: "Gave Up Light is about the feelings of elation and ecstasy that one person can bring to another. It paints a picture of someone craving for this feeling."
In May, Gabriel Richards with be performing a live streamed show during Mental Health Week in aid of Help Musicians UK where he will be donating the proceeds from an auction of canvas art prints of his single artwork.
With even more releases on the pipeline, including a full album, it appears that nothing is going to stop Gabriel from sharing his vision. 'Gave Up Light' is a rare release - an insight into the mind of a true artist.
'Gave Up Light' is released Thursday the 22nd of April.
