Pacific – a band who are championed by Manchester United – are back with a brand-new song in their journey of turning the heads of some of the biggest names in the business.
The piano-infused rockers released their new single ‘Spiral’ today, which encapsulates the band’s trademark gritty and emotional sound. Delving deep into slick pop with the foundations of energetic indie, the Mancunian band are quickly mastering their craft and creating an inimitable sound.
On the release of the new song, Pacific said: “When we were writing this song, we wanted to capture how in life, days can unknowingly pass with all your time being spent working towards an end-game of someone else’s making. Importantly, we remember we have the ability to control our own futures and that’s what the song is about - overcoming that spiral that we can easily fall into.”
‘Spiral’ follows in suit of the releases of two of the four-piece’s already dramatic and downright catchy anthems that they have blessed the scene with in 2021. ‘Puzzle’ and ‘Alibi’ are two arena-sized anthems that embody the personality of the band, introducing a riveting blend of textures in an already famous music scene.
Few would have expected Pacific to have a great year, especially with the circumstances of a global pandemic. However, the band has garnered a lot of success. They have gained Apple Music’s backing, being playlisted in their Breaking Rock and New in Rock editorials, as well as being featured by their hometown club Manchester United, who use their songs in online video content and stadium playlists.
Huge radio support has also become a normality for Pacific, with Amazon Radio, BBC Introducing Manchester and many more showing their appreciation towards the band. But, perhaps most meaningfully for them, they will play a UK tour in Autumn of this year, including a spot on Hit the North festival and their biggest show Manchester show in November.
A meteoric rise to Mancunian music magnum opus is certainly on the cards for this motivated group of passionate individuals, but only time will tell just how far they will go. As they clamber their way up to the summit, ‘Spiral’ is their latest addition to a catalogue of energetic anthems.
