Pattern Pusher - an energetic funk-soul three piece from the Southwest- are the soundtrack to the UK's ‘Freedom Day’, yesterday releasing a new retro-pop anthem which comes with a new grainy music video.
‘Find The Light’ features a music video which details the various activities that we all did during lockdown, or we at least procrastinated! From solving puzzles to excessive screen time and working out from home, we are all glad to put these daily activities behind us and seek pastures new with the easing of restrictions.
Pattern Pusher has had the all-important target of creating uplifting, inspiring and optimistic music that hits all the right notes for a world crying out for enlightenment. This single within their EP, along with its video, achieves just that:
The band are fronted by Alex Johnstone on the keys, whose soaring soulful vocals are evocative of Donny Hathaway and Ray Charles. Benny G’s wild energy on the bass and Benny C’s grooving drum rhythms underpin an unconventional line up with a classic sound. Their crusade of happiness has earned them a loyal fan base, accolades from BBC Radio 6, support from BBC Introducing, and a string of festival shows; now lining up on the same bills as their idols.
Post lockdown will see the band taking brand new music on the road with a span of tour dates, building towards the release of their highly anticipated debut album. You're invited to join Pattern Pusher's Smile High Club! We have.
'Find The Light' is out now on all major streaming platforms.
