Following on from the success of their singles “Common Ground” and “Damaged” released earlier in the year, Rosellas have released their new single “ Before The Storm”. Fans have been accustomed to Rosellas singles featuring two B-sides and “Before The Storm” doesn’t disappoint , with the added tracks “Sometimes Always” and an acoustic version of previous single “Common Ground”.
“Before the Storm” comes with crunchy guitars, massive driving drums, psychedelic vocals and excellent production from Oliver Shillito , the critically acclaimed award winning producer. The single is strong and uplifts listeners whilst having a totally euphoric feel. The track is extremely creative and the bands sheer love of music is on display for all to hear. “Before The Storm” features an impressive guitar solo bringing listeners a pure rock and roll vibe, harking back to earlier rock and roll anthems.
The band consisting of frontman and lead guitarist Drew Selby, Euan Mail (Rhythm Guitar), Mark Zanker (Drums), Luis Sullivan ( Keys & Backing Vocals) and Ollie Appleby (Bass) can be likened to DMAs with their sophisticated melodic edge whilst also tipping their hat to Manchester 90’s bands with their sound bringing about comparisons to The Stone Roses and The Verve. The band say the track is their way of trying to gain a place amongst the legendary bands that came before them.
The band have played live for the Everybody Belongs Here Music Feeds event sharing the stage with huge names such as Liam Gallagher, Blossoms and James in aid of charity and were hand picked by Black Grape’s Shaun Ryder as the supporting act to play their largest audience to date in London. With massive players in the industry noticing Rosellas, they have gained playlist spots via Alex Rainbird Musi , Jim Salveson on their last release on XC Manchester for an impressive 3 weeks and the single was aired by Clint Boon. Amassing an inspiring 130 000 streams across all releases the bands live stream shows have been a driving force behind Rosellas popularity and have truly made them stand out amongst their peers gaining huge slots at Scruff of the Neck at their HQ.
