Indie-rock four-piece The Tenters have followed up their debut release 'Alexander' with their triumphant second single. 'Good Will'. The band members are Will Munton, Rob Lester, Kane Brownlie and Will Olley, and between them all they hail from Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
'Good Will' which could or could or could not be about the film 'Good WIll Hunting' (I mean there ARE two 'Will's' in the band after all), is a sharp, jangly indie-pop track that has shades of 90's Britpop standouts, The Bluetones. The tracks' upbeat sound and steady pace belies what is fundamentally a song tinged with melancholy, thanks to the captivating and tell-tale chord structure.
Released just two weeks after their debut single, 'Good Will' has already featured on BBC Introducing and along with 'ALexander', has earned The Tenters a respectful amount of monthly listeners, which is deserved and encouraging, especially for a new band.
The Tenters are perhaps one of the most exciting and promising post-pandemic bands we have discovered. By releasing two singles in quick succession it suggests that they may have an arsenal of songs up their sleeve, and if they do and they are as good as 'Alexander' and 'Good Will', The Tenters future is set to be very bright indeed.
'Good Will' is out now on all major streaming platforms and you can listen to the track now, via the embedded streaming link below.
