Stirling-based performer Brian Cattigan has followed up his tremendous debut release 'Tell Me Something' with bouncy new single, 'I Can't Be The One That You Want'.
While Cattigan's first release was a stripped back and emotive acoustic number. he turns the tables with 'I Can't Be The One That You Want' which is a vibrant, indie-pop track that demonstrates his versatility as a songwriter.
'I Can't Be The One That You Want' has shades of melancholy in the verses such is the chord structure while the chorus is upbeat and catchy. Coming in at two minutes and twenty-five seconds long, we are left wanting more from the song, and with this being only his second release, more from Cattigan himself.
Starting in bands, Cattigan went solo during 2020 and spent time perfecting his craft. His debut single, 'Tell Me Something', was mentioned on Radio X's The Chris Moyles Show, which helped the track to reach the top ten of the iTunes singer-songwriter chart. This new single, 'I Can't Be The One That You Want', is sure to propel Brian Cattigan further into our consciousness such is its charm.
