Following the success of her single “Cool Girl”, which gained praise from Spotify Fresh Finds and recent impressive release 'Pool Party', Maisyn returns with her new track “8.20”.
“8.20” excellently narrates a crushing goodbye - an intricate, tale of heartbreak. The sound here is guitar-driven but what stands out is the delicate vocals by Maisyn.
Grammy-nominated engineer Joey Messina-Doerning (HAIM) produced the track and it leaves listeners feeling both the heartache and hope of a fleeting summer love. “8.20” gives us a similar sound to that of artists such as newcomer Olivia Rodrigo.

Maisyn, the Los Angeles based singer-songwriter began writing “8.20” two years ago in New York. Named “8.20” after the date the song was created, the track narrates the different insecurities one person can feel at any given time. The song perfectly explains how it is to love someone but still keep caring for them after they are gone.
“8.20” is out now and is the fourth single from her upcoming EP which is set for release in September.
