"I'm a man/I'm a beast/I'm alive"
London artist Drew Thomas has a penchant for writing powerful lyrics and none more so than his words on his new single, 'Bohemians'. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, Drew Thomas has produced an authentic indie-pop ballad that is as polished as it is personal.
Born and raised in Nottingham, Drew wrote 'Bohemians' during a stay in his hometown. He wrote all of his upcoming new EP during that period and 'Bohemians' is the lead single, giving listeners a healthy insight into what should be a can't miss EP release. This new single is backed with another song, 'Vultures', a direct indie-pop song that shines further light on the singer-songwriters artistic prowess.
Of his new single, Drew said: "Bohemians is a song about finding someone who makes you feel complete and learning to accept their flaws and love them for it. Although it’s not strictly a love song on paper, it’s a song for whenever you’ve found a best friend, a lover or a soul mate that feels addictive to be around. It’s about having courage to accept someone’s character over their history even when something seems too broken to fix."
Drew Thomas is a self-confessed DIY indie musician and he has earned attention through his strong work ethic and quite frankly, his phenomenal songwriting talent. With support from Sofar Sounds and BBC Introducing and a strong management team behind him, Drew seemingly has the world at his feet. Comparisons to Sam Fender would be fair such is Drew's talent for writing an ear-grabbing tune, full of meaningful lyrics, such as what is displayed on 'Bohemians'.
'Bohemians' is out now on all major streaming platforms.
