Hollows are back with their spectacular second song of 2021, ‘UV Lights’ that reaches the magnitude that could be likened to that of Kings Of Leon or The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Hailing from the streets of Manchester, the quartet have a lot to live up to, but with this release, they certainly have.
During a challenging 18 months for everyone, Hollows have made the most of their time by writing and recording new material to be released this year. It would seem that the band have not been setback by the pandemic, releasing content that feels fresher than ever.
Hollows are a 4-piece Alternative-Indie band based in Manchester. Singer and guitarist Sean Davies formed the band in early 2017 with the release of their debut single and E.P following shortly after. With some original members moving on to other projects, Hollows were joined by drummer Dan Dyson, bassist Jack Barnes and finally lead guitarist Liam Lewis as of 2021.
And to accompany the newfound line-up of extraordinary talent, a host of new songs were created. Among these new tracks was new single ‘UV Lights’, a song that shows off the band’s refined new sound.
‘UV Lights’ is a story that bases itself around a night out with mates where little arguments and fall outs start coming to light because of the drink. As the line “Mistakes won’t function you know? Hidden in plain sight under UV Lights” echoes perpetual throughout, it serves as a statement of the meaning behind the track.
Hollows are clearly a band going places, and this new release shines a light on their path to the top. Exciting, self-assured, vibrant. ‘UV Lights’ is a must listen.
