“Try Again” centres around feelings of regret, anger and guilt over growing estrangement from family and friends. Anna Baldree juxtaposes raw and earnest lyricism with catchy melodies and this excellent debut single has the most infectious hook. She formed most of her material post lockdown and upcoming tracks feature themes such as nostalgia for happier times, mental health reflections and isolation which many can relate to.
“Try Again” was recorded and produced at La Blanca Studio in Chattanooga, TN by Ivan Garcia and sees Anna’s personal and relatable lyrics combine perfectly with her guitar playing to kick off what is sure to be the start of a strong career within music.
Anna actively began to pursue a career in music in the summer 2020 when she began playing long solo sets at local restaurants and bars in and around Chattanooga, TN. With a strong base of local fans, Anna looks set to capitalise and reach a wider audience as she has an additional single and a debut album due for release early next year.

Listing her main musical influences as acts such as The 1975, Mazzy Star and Phoebe Bridgers, Anna has drawn comparisons to the latter two influences listed. With playing live from The Library with Richard Winham at WUTC 88.1 and Wanderlinger Fest under her belt, Anna looks set to put together a band for more upbeat and larger shows.
“Try Again”, the new honest and stripped back debut single from Anna Baldree is out now on all major streaming platforms.
