Described as “an artist and songwriter who definitely shines in terms of innovation and creativity”, Ivy Ash is entering the final stage of 2021 at lightning quick pace, releasing an acoustic version of her latest track, ‘Third Degree’.
Fearless, feel-good, and funky, the original version of the song is all about discovering your boundaries, taking control, and realising how to move forward. The acoustic alteration adds calm to the resounding release, undertaking a more gentle and emotive approach, allowing listeners to really feel and understand the meaning behind the captivating lyrics.
Talking ahead of its releases, Ivy lamented her pride towards ‘Third Degree’ and its success. She reflects on her latest releases by saying: “I’m so happy that I could do two versions of this song, one to show my playful side and another to show more vulnerable feelings. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, including BBC Music Introducing East Midlands (Track of the Week, Dean Jackson), BBC Music Introducing Coventry and Warwickshire, Amazing Radio and BIMM (Track of the Day).”

The track is fully supported via Arts Council England and their ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ fund. If the original version is anything to go by, we expect Ivy Ash to take her success to a whole new level with the acoustic version, adding to her plethora of talents by taking an already-made release and making it sound entirely different.
