Words: ROBIN MUMFORD
The Vista are a lively four-piece indie rock band from the music rich streets of Birmingham. They burst onto the thriving local scene in August 2021 and have since gone from strength to strength ever since.
Their latest hair-raising worldie ‘The Dirt’, follows their fan-favourite debut release ‘Jump Into The River’, which gained high acclaim when performed in dingy clubs across the West Midlands.
‘The Dirt’ really puts the rock into indie. It is a number that is filled with driving drums, filthy guitars, and passionate vocals; the latest instalment from The Vista is an exciting turn into a different area of their sound.
The debut was slower, steadier, and conservative, but their second track in their inaugural year is a stomper that feels like a jump into the deep end. Of course, there is nothing to critique about their first song, but there is just that extra spice in this one which we would rather see going forward.
The Vista have undoubtedly opened their account with two whirlwind tracks, something that will serve them well in the long run.
