“Friends” reflects upon moving away from family and friends and the feelings of isolation felt from that. Narrating the changes of going through life, this jangle-pop track is simple yet effective with the ethos behind the track being the mantra less is more.
Recorded at home with some assistance from his friends, Seasoning is the brainchild of performer Lachlan Buckle who wrote, recorded and mixed "Friends".
Talented Lachlan has Seasoning as his side project whilst playing in other bands and was truly tested before recording the single as he broke his hand, resulting in him having to reteach himself fully how to play guitar again to enable the record to be created.
The music video for the release (above) is a creative and eye-catching watch and it compliments the soul of the song perfectly.
With influences such as George Harrison, Kylie Minogue and The War On Drugs and having played a successful slot at Yonder Festival in 2021, Seasoning looks to aim high with this second single and its understated nature and relatable lyrics look set to help in the pursuit for success.
“Friends”, the new jangle-pop single by Seasoning is out now on all major streaming platforms.
