Featuring Korean ethnic band musicologist nuMori and legendary guitarist Gerry Leonard (David Bowie), Ooberfuse are back with their new empowering dance anthem, “Vanish The Night”.
“Vanish The Night” brings the four-time Grammy winner Kevin Killen (Shakira, U2) back to co-produce this empowering track after the success of previous release “Summer Skies” a smash hit that amassed over 100,000 streams. Working during lockdown, the duo collaborated literally across the world, connecting a live room in London to Kevin Killen in New York to allow him to produce the track.
“Vanish The Night” took inspiration from Ooberfuse duo Cherrie Anderson (vocals/songwriter) and Hal St John producer and multi-instrumentalist) after seeing aerial footage of the Korean Peninsula. The track builds to an explosive and liberating climax after poignant lyrical undertones and tension come together, something that this duo are known for.
Since hitting the scene, Ooberfuse have received critical acclaim across the world with coverage in The Guardian, Rolling Stone and Music Week along with endorsement from music legends such as Boy George, Paul Oakenfold and Erasure. They were showcased at The Great Escape and had the honour in Beijing of opening for Rudimental. With a strong reputation from east to west, Ooberfuse have live performances under their belt in China, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, India, Spain, Portugal and Italy. They have received strong radio backing from the likes of Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens.
