The Copenhagen based performer MØ has today released an updated version of her single 'New Moon', complete with the quite excellent music video, which now features the pop sensation Rebecca Black. The original version of 'New Moon' appears on MØ's recently released third album, 'Motordome'.
This new version is given a hyper-pop makeover with Black adding her vocals to the chorus and a verse, giving the track a fresh feel. On working with MØ, Rebecca Black said: "Mø has been one of my most favorite artists ever since I heard No Mythologies to Follow for the first time in high school. It’s been a dream to get to put a verse on this song, which I fell in love with as soon as I heard it. So excited for everyone - very much including my high school self - to get to hear this song."
MØ adds: "New Moon is a song about manifesting a new era, a song about regaining control. Rebecca Black fit so perfectly into this energy and I love what she brought to this song. I also just adore her & it was so much fun to collaborate on this!"
'Motordome', the recently released third album from MØ, is her first LP since 2018's 'Forever Neverland'. The new album features ten tracks including the singles 'Live To Survive' and 'Kindness'. She is currently on tour in the US before returning to Europe next month for a string of shows on the continent.
Rebecca Black is playing dates in the UK from May onwards with more information available here.
