The Leicestershire band The Harbours have been making waves throughout 2024, none more so than with their previous two releases. 'Locked In', which was released in September, is a bonafide indie-banger while latest single, 'Live It Up', delivers a blast of jangly indie-pop that is hard to ignore.
Forming just this year, the band have been busy - they have released five singles and all to some degree of success. The band's drive and focus is plain to see and this translates into their music.
'Locked In' is the band at their best - a perfect display or youthful exuberance and raw energy. They sound like every young, new band should. They have the world at their feet and a successful career ahead of them awaits if their output continues to the same standard.
Fortunately for The Harbours, it has. Their latest single 'Live It Up' is an optimistic, free-flowing affair that follows up 'Locked In' with panache. Whilst borrowing from indie-megastars who have gone before them, they have also moulded their sound and their songwriting into something that is unashamedly their own. 2024 was prolific for The Harbours and 2025 is sure to be even better.
