The Memphis-based all-girl R'n'B trio KARMA have released their Holiday themed new single, 'The Mistletoe'.
The rising group combine energetic rap flows with soulful harmonies to produce a simply magical Christmas song that is perfect seasonal listening.
'The Mistletoe' brings warmth to the cold, grey weather that we have here in the United Kingdom and is an injection of pure holiday magic. The comparisons to TLC or Destiny's Child may seem obvious, however they are certainly fair; KARMA collectively have a rare talent. Christmas songs tend to come and go, some are novelty records, some are timeless classics. With the correct exposure, 'The Mistletoe' can fall into the latter category.
Christmas songs are supposed to be joyful, enchanting and pleasing. This release from KARMA ticks all three boxes and is definitely worth listening to this holiday season.
About 'The Mistletoe', the band said: "This song is about celebrating love and togetherness during the holidays. Whether it's catching someone under the mistletoe or just being surrounded by the people who matter most, we wanted to create something that feels magical and that brings people closer."
KARMA have certainly succeeded. Much like their previous release, "Sis (She's Something)", this latest song displays versatility and a genuine passion that conveys itself clearly to the listener.
