Test Card Girl (Catherine Burgis) releases her new single 'Don't Go' this Friday, March the 26th which is now available to pre-save here.
The single has already been championed by Radio 6's Tom Robinson who recently called 'Don't Go' "a joyous life-affirming pop gem", a statement we wholeheartedly agree with.
Catherine began songwriting late, beginning her musical journey last year aged thirty-five. Her debut single 'Holds Me Down' was released in September last year, and since then there has been a definite buzz surrounding the Mancunian singer-songwriter.
She takes her name - Test Card Girl- from the iconic image of the girl and clown used on UK television to signal the end of evening broadcasting- (an image oh so familiar to those of use of a certain age).
'Don't Go' is irresistibly catchy, a song so immediate it is difficult not to sing along come the second chorus. It is upbeat, altogether fresh sounding and original. We here at Our Sound Music will be adding 'Don't Go' to our Playlist upon release and if bright and catchy melodic music is your thing, you should too.
