Fife based indie singer/songwriter, Phil ‘PG’ Ciarletta, is set to release his third single.
The new single, titled ‘Let Go’ is the singer’s first release of 2021 and follows December’s ‘Live At The Garden Sessions’.
The track builds on the sound showcased in his previous material and features a feel good rhythm and showcases similar tongue-in-cheek lyrics to that of other Scottish singers, Paolo Nutini and Gerry Cinnamon. Described as an 'end of lockdown party anthem', 'Let Go' is Ciarletta's strongest release to date.
Phil has previously enjoyed success with his other releases: he has made the top 10 in the official Scottish singles charts, as well as number one in the UK alternative chart. He hopes his new release will build on the momentum he has generated and has his eyes firmly set on headline shows.
“The reaction to my music has been great so far” Phil told us “I want to keep moving towards the EP and album, and I’m working on new material as we speak.”
Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Phil said: “Essentially, it’s about being ready to ‘let go’ of the hardship of the last year or so, and bounce back into the new normal with positivity and a spring in our step, learning from the past but letting go and going on to bigger and better things.”
‘Let Go’ is available to pre-save here and is released on all media streaming platforms on Friday 9th April.
