The perfect song for autumn, “Put My Bones Into The Ground” is a song about loss, change, love and living life to its fullest. The track is deeply personal to Mark with it recalling advice his Grandfather gave him shortly before he passed away and includes a voice recording of his Grandfather giving this advice.
Serving as both a celebration of a life well lived and the wisdom that comes from a long life and the ups and downs experienced throughout all of these years, this single perfectly closes and bookends the “12 Weeks” album.
“12 Weeks” came about as Mark set himself the goal of writing a new song every week along with recording and releasing the tracks to give his life what he felt was a much needed purpose once more during lockdown. Aptly named as a nod to the time in which the album was created, the album was impressively fully produced and mastered by Mark himself at home.
“12 Weeks” is a collection of Indie Folk songs with shades of Alt-Rock that as a whole reflect upon lockdown life, loss, love and family and was released as a full album on June 9th.
Previously being a guitarist for hire and featuring on chart topping records both an established touring musician and studio artist, Mark has dived head first into songwriting and the output in the form of “12 Weeks” has been the ideal start to this new chapter in his career.
With an accompanying music video, “Put my Bones into the Ground” the final release from the “12 Weeks” album by Mark Remmington is out now on all major streaming platforms.
